Quick question, the most I have seen on the Illinois/desplains is 15 barges. What is the max?
Thanks for the complement! Most people don't understand we can't stop or turn on a dime, if I have empty barges on the bow I can't see 2000' if front on them. Huge blind spot!! But yes
15 is max until you get below St. Louis, the locks are only 600' so we split the tow in have and double lock it, 9 barges in the 1st half 600'x105' the 6 barges and the boat in the 2nd half 550'x105'. Wire them back together and keep on cruising.

Get with mike if you want to come to Ottawa on the 17th, I am docking that 80fter for the night at heritage harbor. Somebody could bring a wakeboard along

Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there. Morris ramp was closed yesterday. Seneca was nuts. You all have a great day!

Nope...to clarify, on Saturday, the ramp in Morris was closed. The ramp in Seneca was packed. I did not go out on Sunday - too windy for me...hopefully today and tomorrow, though
