2005 X-Star

Ok so here is the run down. Been having issues with my buddy and I's boat for last year and half. Last summer it was in the shop most of the summer. They replaced a ton of stuff and it still isn't fixed. Boat has a complete tune up and fuel system check and flush along with all new impellars and alternator. The mount bracket for ECM also had snapped so they took that off and welded it. They finally got it back to us towards end of last summer and said it was all good. Here is what boat is doing. Starts up fine and was running good then would randomly shut off. Sometimes 2 or 3 times in a row and then not for hour or so. We thought it was thether switch so we hard wired it. This is not why we took boat into shop initially. The speedometer has stopped working and perfect pass was not working when we were out on Friday but we had boat out for a good two hours and it shut off a couple times but ran fine towards the end. He tried to go out yesterday and it started fine and perfect pass was working but when he hit throttle it didn't move and boat would throw master alarm and check engine light came on. This sounds like ECM problem to me anyone else have anything we can check or how to check code before it goes back to shop ? Thanks for your help

Chris

I'm currently having similar problems with my boat, except my are not intermittent. My boat just totally died.
