Problem fixed.

Fuel pressure checked out fine, pulled the distributer and it looked fine as well. Then decided to look at ignition and a grey plug that piggy backs onto a black plug was very loose. No idea how this could have happened but once we plugged it in securely boat worked perfectly all weekend.

Guess this is a lesson to make sure all your connections are good!

Glad to hear you solved your problem, and for no cost too! Nice!

Is this plug near the distributor? I'll be checking mine for sure since I have the same boat/engine.
I was njskier on here.

Some specs say minimum 60 psi, some say minimum 48 psi

If you ever ran your gas tank below 1/4 or if pump is original it's probably weak or dead.
Plenty of threads on here for pump replacement. I changed my whole fuel pump module.....but others have had success with just a pump replacement. Either way, get a new fuel filter for sure.
Jerseydave - When you turn your key on, without starting the engine, how long should the pressure hold before it begins to drop back down?
