surprise behind tower mounts

So I took the tower mounts off my 205 (sold the tower) and surprise....look what I found. I'm not sure what all of the grinding was for the mounts were tight and the rubber pads were in good shape. Looks like maybe the mounts were loose at one time and dug into the glass. Well anyway, time for repair. Question is what resin did MC use in 1999 and any suggestions on how to get the line between colors as crisp as factory? Not sure tape will leave the separation that fine.

You can use tape. I had to do that in one area on my x45. Was not that large. It's not prefect, but i was happy with the results. The layman would not be able to see it for sure. The tuff part is going to be building it up that much in a nice line. Doable, just takes time and patience.

Spectrum gel coat. They have the colors you need by year.

If you fill past the line with one color, you could sand to a straight line, then fill with the other color.

Thanks for the tip, I thought about that and may have to go that route. However, I really like the clean look of the hard line with no stripe. I'm hoping to duplicate that. Anyone know how it was done originally?
