Question 1988 tristar light lens?

Hi I just purchased a 1988 Tristar open bow(my first MC) and joined this group a couple of weeks ago and have found plenty of useful information on this site. When I purchased the boat it was taking on a good bit of water so I have completely redone the thru hull exhaust which was the source of the leaks. I've also found threads that helped me through removal and rebuilding of the center front panel and carpet replacement.
I have searched and can't find any discussion on the two lenses on either side of the exhaust. They appear to be underwater lights but from the inside there isn't any wiring or any indication of what they are. From the inside of the boat they appear to be 3/4 pipe thread on the O.D. and hollow of the same clear material. Any information would be appreciated, I've searched and looked at as many Tristars as I could find and haven't seen anything like it but they really look original.

Welcome to Team Talk and congrats on purchasing a fine boat. The underwater lights are not factory. Your picture did not come through. Are you posting from a phone or a computer?

Pic still not coming through. Are you using the paper clip icon?

Be sure to use the post reply, not quick reply button.

I managed to get the image... but I have no clue what that is...
Perhaps it's where the speedo pickups go?

Looks like somebody fitted some drain plug lights into the transom maybe?

Definitely not stock.
Here's a pic of the stern of my former 91 TriStar. Style differs slightly from your 88 but close enough. Looks like the lights (or whatever they are) on yours are where the speedo pitot pickups should be. Does your speedo work?

No the speedo currently doesn't work but the pickups are located just outside of the lenses on the pic
