Suction tube in the dipstick

Should have done my research but I guess you live and learn.
Spent about 3 hrs freeing the suction tube out of the dipstick.

Tried using twisting turning, using compressed air. I was getting to a point where I thought I was going to have to spend 1K do have the oil pan dropped.
Finally removed the dipstick and stuck a stiff wire and was able to free it loose!

Then spent 3 minutes draining the oil via the drain oil pan using the suction pump.

Now need to change the transmission oil. Kinda scarred using the suction hose to suck out the transmission oil. Any advise?

picture of said suction tube and wire.

draining the tranny is easy, the tube only goes a few inches into the case, nothing there for the suction tube to get caught on
