Unhappy 1988 Gas tank needed

My 1988 MasterCraft ProStar is full of gas fumes when I remove the boat cover. I'd like a new gas tank or a way to seal the current tank. There doesn't appear to be any liquid leaks. Any suggestions?

Thank, Mary in Michigan

Is your cover covering the tank vent?
