I'm not going to do the fire flake on the inserts. After looking into it, the flake itself doesn't cost alot, but prepping and painting the pieces is a good chuck of time (up to five hours). At this time, the cost of that isn't worth the hassle. MC is out of stock on the flake, won't have it back in for approx three weeks. I can't put the speakers or tweeters in the cans without the covers, and I'm not willing to wait.

I'd have to buy all new pieces to do it, plus paint. If I was going to do it, it'd have to be now.

So, the powder coating is throwing the precision measurements of the red tower pieces off. I'm having to grind the inside of the weld covers down a bit (1/16 of an inch), and will have to take a wee bit off some of the inserts as well. Very time consuming work that I thought would be quick and easy. Have to source some new screws for the weld covers too, the factory ones aren't quite long enough.
