X10 2013 vs x15 2012

We currently have an 2012 X15 and have an opportunity to move across to a 2013 X10. Does anyone have any experience as to how the surf and boarding compare? Is the X10 better in every way or not? Also, is the X10 much smaller than an X15? Thoughts appreciated.

X10 i believe is a smaller boat but probably has surf tabs and all. Sell good here, but so does the x15, boils down to what you like. I don't see major differences.

I thought that the X10 would have a better surf wake - meant to be their surf boat? The X15 has surf tabs but I thought that the X10 hull was shaped to maximise the surf wake?

I've surfed both and can tell you that the major difference is prepping the boats for surfing. The X-15 needs a lot of weight and is very sensitive to placement. If you're up for spending the time to dial it in you will be rewarded with a great wave. I shot this surf video behind an X-15: http://youtu.be/wfpfKr6BveY

With tabs and factory ballast, the X-10 is on par with the weighted X-15. The wave shapes are similar but I felt more push riding behind the X-10.

Both are great boats and offer really good wakesurfing platforms. You can't go wrong.

I'd make the swap if the budget allows.

I would agree with Spechter and the X-10 wake boards better too. It is smaller in both length and width. X-15 is 21'8" and 100" beam while X-10 is 21'3" and 98" beam.

Thanks for your comments. I am leaning towards the X10. Also an opportunity to get out of the 2012 Medallion system and move to Murphy. Has anyone made the switch to X10 from an X15 or are people tending to move up to the X30? The X10 is available because the current owners find it too small and so are moving to a X25.
