What kind of helmet do you wear and why?????? If you use an openface snowcross style would you tell me what type of goggles you have and recomend????????

BV2S. Open face is fine if you're into orange or lime green snowmobile jackets, a low low windshield, and lots of bling. Get to be my age and function takes precedence over form.

I have an HJC moto-x helmet and I use Scott Turbo Flow goggles with the quick straps.

Crosstec. I must say, the built in LED lights are cool. But they actually work great.
Last trip out, we had a crew of 15 riding. We lost two along a stretch of about 5 miles. They claimed to have only been able to find us because of the blinking lights, that happened to be in the chin on my helmet.
What an awesome idea.
So far I love it. We shall see if I can ride in -25 degree this year in it and still be happy. It handles 110mph wind pretty good.

I saw a guy riding this weekend with a blinking light on the top of his helmet. I would guess that would get annoying following that guy in the dark(kinda like following a school bus with the annoying white light flashing)

I heard that the flashing lights are nice when there is alot of snow dust.....which means there would have to be snow on the trails!

I think BM's has the red light on the back too. And the flashlight on the right side like in his picture.

My front light has high and low, and Blinking S.O.S. signal.
The rear light blinks.
There are 5 different settings to it.

My sno cross helmet has a blinking LED bar on the back that races back and forth.


WFT, did you get the MP3 player attachment w/ your helmet?

Nope, no MP3 in there, but I have the sound tubes with the firefox, maybe I'll try to incorporate the iPod.

The weathermen were WRONG AGAIN!!!!! They were calling for a dusting to 1"..........we got 4"!!!! The trails around Minocqua should be great for this weekend because our entire base was ice. Too bad I have to leave for the Milwaukee Boat Show tomorrow
