based on what I can see from the roads it is all snirt. The forecast for this weekend is rain changing to snow with significant accumulation possible. If you want to ride decent trails I would head to the U.P.! We were in South Range yesterday and the 1 mile of trail we were on was really nice. The snow in the woods has really set up to a semi-hard base in the last week. We rode the same area a week ago and had powder over the hood of the sled. Yesterday it was snowball snow and made getting around a little tougher. The (other) sleds were trenching through the hard layer and the running boards were getting hung up especially on hill climbs. Either way there is a ton of snow in the woods and would be more fun than riding mud in Northern Wisconsin. Head to the Yoop!!!!!!!!!!

Drove back from Munising yesterday afternoon via Marinette and Amberg (Crivitz). There wasn't a single trail South of the lake effect belt that wasn't melted down to next to nothing. Plenty of snow in the U.P. Was everywhere between Bruce Crossing and Grand Marais over the last four days.

Planning on staying in Houghton as of now.

I have an annual ride scheduled for Jan 29 - 31 in Rhinelander. Not looking good for unless we see a bunch of snow. Three days drinking instead of ridin' gets awful expensive.

Sunday in to Monday they are calling for a nice snow storm up there. We will have to wait and see what happens.

271 miles for the weekend! Rode from Iron River, MI to Houghton, MI. Trails on the way north Saturday were all in good shape with a few slick corners and thin spots.

Coming home Sunday to Iron River we started out riding in the rain! That changed to snow quickly, but Bruce Crossing, MI was beat! Trails were bare and it was brutal getting through town.

All in all had a fun trip! Can't wait to get back up North

Anyone out riding? Our daughter Callie Marie arrived on 1/24 and my sled is sitting in the trailer patiently waiting to be ridden. I was hoping to ride this weekend, but that is not going to work. Hopefully next week sometime? BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP
