Alternator belt question

Here's my dilemma: a local mom and pop auto parts start is finally closing down and everything they have for sale is 50% off and I'd like to buy plugs and belts for my boat for future years at a good discount.

I know I have a 330 LTR motor and I have the Indmar manual and even spoke to Indmar directly this morning but all I've learned is that I could have one of two different types of alternator belt on the engine. Indmar couldn't share any specs for either belt with me without an engine serial number and since my boat is in winter storage I can't get that info easily. I've emailed MC with my HIN to see if they can help but I don't have a response yet.

Does anyone know the specs for the two different belts? Or a Gates part number?

According to all the documentation I have I need Indmar part #725018 but customer service at skidim explained that I should be using their part #10809 which is a different belt. Why does this have to be so damn difficult???

A couple of emails and phone calls later I have the info and was able to pick up some inexpensive parts.

You should post the part numbers you found to close out your thread because eventually someone will have the same question.

Good point! I'm not sure what I was thinking.

So my '99 210VRS with a 330 LTR (despite what the manual says) uses an Indmar 725026 belt which is a NAPA #25-060480 or a Gates K060480. From what I found that's a 6 rib, 48" V grove belt that's 13/16" wide.

All the documentation I have says all 5.7's except for the LT1 take an Indmar 725018 belt.

Hope this helps others in the future

Also for reference, the LT-1 with the low mount alternator uses a 6 rib, 39" belt. Mine is Goodyear 4060390 which would be a Gates K060390
