Cheapest place to buy Holley 4160 marine carb

This may have been covered but im not having much luck finding it using the search. I have a 1990 tristar with indmar ford 351. It's time for a new carbeurator im afraid. I have been searching trying to find the best price on one. Skidim.com just seems so overpriced, but everyone swears by them. Anyone purchase one from any other reputable dealers? I see them on summit and this site, marinecarbs.com. All the different list numbers have me worried, I have no idea which one is the correct one.

On marinecarbs its the second from the bottom and its under 300 bucks.. what do you guys think? My budget is a little tight so trying to make the best of the situation. Thank you everyone.

Any reason why you aren't having it rebuilt? I hate to guess how many carbs I have rebuilt without any issues.

I dont think the carb I have now is a 4160. Plus it is very corroded and the butterfly shafts seem worn. From reading though a lot of posts on here I came to the conclusion that I just need to upgrade to the 4160. The previous owner said he had just rebuilt it before I bought the boat two years ago. Boat has trouble starting cold or hot. Have to give it a lot of throttle. I just can't get it working right. I don't have the experience with carburetors like some of you guys have.

FYI...there is a Holley 4160 for sale on SKI-IT-AGAIN under the parts-engine tab for 100 dollars.

If you have a 4160 you can send it right to Holley and they will rebuild it for $ 300.00 I believe a new one cost about $ 600.00. Or you can get the rebuild kit from Holley Part number 703-29 cost is $ 36.95 from Holley. I just had one of mine rebuilt by a local mechanic.

I have a 4160 from an 89 Prostar on my "to be rebuilt" shelf. I could move it to the front of the the line and and have it ready in a week or two. If you are interested, send me a PM.

You can get one from national carbs.
Some folks don't seem to like them, because they're not all original, and so a renew kit won't work on it down the road...

But I bought one from them last summer. Bolted it on and it just worked.

I purchased one from National many moons ago for my TriStar. Worked great.
I see they are $220 now -- mine was maybe $150 back then.
