2004 X9 speakers stopped working

I have a 2004 x9 with stock clarion XMD3 and APX480M amp and a dealer installed JL Audio 300/2 and two Diamond audio tower speakers. Fired the boat up this spring and only the port tower speaker is working. All the in boat speakers are dead as is starboard tower speaker. I can switch the inputs on the JL amp and the working tower speaker changes sides. If I switch the output from the XMD3, the one good tower speaker continues to play. This seems to indicate the issue is with the APX480M. I was just looking for any suggestions on other possibilities before I remove the amp and take it in to have it checked.

Thanks.

Try simple stuff first before pulling stuff out. Check connections, swap out RCA, swap amp outputs from left to right and visa versa. Get a multimeter and check each speaker. Should be around 3.2 resistance or so on each speaker. If you get no resistance on the speaker pull the speaker out and check it at the terminals. If you get a 1 reading, you have a short between the amp and the speaker somewhere.
