1988 Prostar Portland, OR

This always garaged Prostar has only 330 hrs. Only added 2 hours in the last two years, so am going to let it go. Based on low hours and general good condition, I am thinking $10K might be the high end, $8,500 the low end. Seeking input from those that know. I have a ten foot pole and ballast bags with a hand held 12v pump I would probably include.

I have added a depth gage, see picture of the insturment cluster. Both speedos are calibrated and working good. New marine starter, solenoid and wires added in 2008. I also have a back up nibral prop that matches what is on the boat. Carb engine from 1988 advertises 240 HP. With the few hours, everything is strong. Starts easy and runs stong. Tops out at 43 MPH.

Thoughts?

I think it's worth more than $7K I'd say $8500. $10K is on the high side, but possible around May.

8k. But the sentimental factor might net you 9. It all depends on how fast you want to sell it. Maybe outfitting it with a used Perfect Pass might net you a few bucks, because it is then ski ready for a serious skier. I would unload the wakeboard gear on ebay.

Powerslot? If so, I got a few hundred passes being an almost identical boat. And the 240 hp with a slot was a brute! Great boat.

Non-Powerslot (unfortunately). I was hoping the low hours would bring a premium, maybe not so much. Most boats this vintage are either approaching, or are over the 1000 hour mark.

$8-8.5k. Low hours may bring $9k but after that one can move up to the next generation of hull design for $9K and up (91 - 94 era)

Point and case ==> http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...05#post1009805

You have a nice looking machine. Sit on it a while. It should move between $8-9k... to someone looking for a well-maintained boat. It's a nearly new boat for all practical purposes.

$0.02
