Great conversion--anyone still watching the miles pile up on their original leaf sprung 7.3L Excursions will be interested in this.

Why not just slap a gem top on an F250?

I kid, I kid.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.

^^^ LOL ... cool project! I always wanted Dodge to make something comparible to an Excursion or Suburban in a 2500 chassis with a Cummins! We had several of the older 6.2L diesel Suburbans and later the 6.5L Turbo diesel. Great rigs (if you could keep an injector pump and transmission working)!

The third phone call I make after I hit the Power Ball Lotto is to order up one of these trucks.

First is to my lawyer and second to my accountant.

That was my question too. I guess there are some features in the F250 that you can't get in an Excursion? Either way, looks like a cool project.

Or maybe because the Excursion was discontinued in 2005.......

My point exactly. You can't get a new drive train and front end for an Excursion.

Big project regardless, but seems like their way is simpler than modifying the Excursion to accept the coil front suspension, new front sheetmetal, full powertrain/drivetrain, and new interior of the current Super Duty.
