I went kiteboarding last week on White Bear Lake. By the time I was rigging my kite the winds were ~20 mph gusting to 27 and the air temp was -17. Nice and toasty.

Our Govenator has already announced that Minnesota schools will be closed on Monday due to the cold. Bunch of wimps!

I would be willing to bet some of those "wimps" will be playing out in the snow; sitting at a school desk would be warmer. Time for a new Governator...

We get temps colder than that, no issues here. You'll be fine.

We are rarely below zero here and if we are it's usually just a few degrees below for a few days. I can't fathom -18 and below on a regular basis.

If you're worried, put a lamp under the cover. I think you're fine though.

Heading to Barbados on Tuesday. Wahoo!

I'll let you know how the Packer game goes Sunday....yup, we're going Leather snowmo suits, lots of hand/foot warmers-under the hat, back of neck, top of feet, bottom of feet, butt, bra, hands....! No matter what, it's cold, damned cold! Far cry from the pre-season game in shorts and t-shirts and WARM!!

If you are really worried about it drop a 40 watt light bulb in a mechanic's drop light in the bilge. I do this when we get in single digits for more then a few days.
