Buying used X25

I'm looking at a 2012 x25 or x35. This will be our 2nd boat and 1st MC. I'm looking for any suggestions of what to look for. I know the screens had issues and changed to Murphy but my understanding was the software upgrades have corrected them? Fuel filters still having problems? One is a 2 hour drive away and one is 900 mi, would you recommend hiring a surveyor or what is their extended warranty? Any other components that wee famous for failing?

I don't imagine they make a lot of X35's these days. I've heard the 2012's have had their issues ironed out however the difference between 2012's and 13's is night and day.

Agreed, you won't find many 35's out there. Lots of nice 25's to be had though.

Idk. You might wanna hold off a while. The x25 has had that "body style" for quite a while now and wouldn't be surprised if they change it. x35 on the other hand wasn't produced much and isn't the best boat. If you wait and the new style x25 comes out you could probably get a much better deal on the x25.

The x25 probably wont change for a while in my opinion. It just came out in 2010.

That would be out of character to change the hull after only four model years. ICBW, but I think that would be a record for MC.

I don't think the hull will change, but certainly the deck at some point will be hipperized.

If anything maybe a deck revamp however I don't know where they would improve on it. It was the first deck to really feature a lot of the ergonomics that finally came along with new X30, X10 and XStar. As per my dealer it is still selling on par with the X30 (though it seems to me we see a lot more X30's).

Maybe if they lifted the deck an inch or two we could get a few hundred pounds more subfloor ballast?

I would think they will change it and put that hump in it they are putting in the rest of the line.
