Wanted: X-Star Flip Up Seat Skins

I know, a long shot. Prefer the ones with the grey at the edge (towards center aisle). Thanks.

You're better off buying the raw vinyl and having a good upholstery shop repair them. The replacements will have the same seam tearing issue you're no doubt replacing them for

Probably correct. I know they added a pleat later on to combat that issue.

Mine will never tear again at the seem that should have never been there in the first place! I took the 2 seats to a shop and we both brain stormed on how we could make these the way they should've came from MC. This is what we came up with. He pulled the skins completely apart at the horrible seem that always tears, added in a piece and added end caps to each end.Name: uploadfromtaptalk1406513293042.jpg

My guy charged me $350 to pull the skins, make repair and re-skin. MC wanted $420 per skin, plus you will have to get a shop to pull old skins and put new ones on.

I need to get this done to my seats too. The local shop is asking for pictures that show the inside pieces of vinyl that you added. Something about how it attaches to the frame. Do you have any additional shots?
Thanks!

I did the same thing to my front seats. I couldn't get an exact match fabric but it is covered up and there is no way you can tell.

Really surprised they kept making the front seat skin the same way after they knew they had a problem.
