Hey do you put the riser gaskets on dry? I'm assuming exhaust manifold gaskets go on dry because that is what I've done in other applications. I got a tightening torque for manifolds of 18-24 lbs. close enough?

spec is 30-35lbs against cylinder head.

riser to manifold 35-40lbs - good and tight... not sure how to get a torque wrench on the aft allen bolts...

Thank you Mike. Haha nobody told me they'd arrive with paint on the mating surface!!

They come with a yellow sheet in the box warning of dire events if all paint is not removed before installation. "Catastrophic engine failure" lol. I've got them both ready to go now. Went through a few more razor blades.

Crow's foot on the wrench but then that changes the value of the torque spec due to the change in the moment about the axis.

I'd snug it tight with an extra grunt and call it a done deal... ( I do hope you are referring to ft./lbs. )

Don't forget anti-seize on the bolt threads as you reinstall.

Do the riser gaskets go on dry? Or with some permatex?
