Smile Exhaust Manifold Brand Opinions Please

Hello,

I bought a 93 MC PS 190 w/ LT1 PowerSlot this spring.

This forum has been most unbelievably helpful in helping me sort out mechanicals etc.

I've made steady progress towards a very reliable and totally awesome ski boat.

It appears time to replace the exhaust manifolds since both are leaking w/ hairline cracks in the center.

I am finding a significant price difference between exhaust manifold manufacturers/sources.

Is there a significant difference in quality between these;

Barr $926.08
Osco $549 (complete kit including risers)
GLM $420.21 (almost complete kit--just needs mounting hardware)
Sierra ?
HGE ?
Mallory ?

Still researching the ?'s.

Not mentioning pricing sources so as to not offend anyone.

What are the recommendations of this knowlegable group?

TIA !

Mike

Attached is a nice pic of us getting towed in by the Ranger. Also getting a huge tire blowout that destroyed the rim. The BIG guy is our 3rd when we can't find an observer. Growing up, we didn't need no stinking observer 2 go skiing! That is the biggest PIA rule I've found since re-entering boat ownership after a 20yr hiatus. I was thinking about getting a Mannequin for our 3rd since the Rangers would not be able to tell the diff looking thru their binocs from the marina! LOL

Although the ad doesn't say it, the aluminum Indmar manifolds are for a big block.

The first one you listed is the big block manifold, but they are definitely cool. They don't help anybody out with fitment in the ad though.

Noticed those awesome aluminums on E-bay right away. 2 bad there 4 the BB & good thing too since no coin 4 that.

I'm leaning towards the new co out of Cali (GLM) using the lost foam casting technique.

manowicki, i bought a set of osco risers from ebasicpwower.com last year as they were the best price i could find. I did not research as many brands as you have listed. I buy most things from skidim.com but ebasic was significantly cheaper for exhaust manifolds and risers. are your actually cracked or just the gasket leaking? I still have the originals on my 93.
