BIG screen retrofit for x25 w/o pro package

It appears that all NON-pro package x25's (some 2013's and all 2014's) come with that new 4.3inch small screen to the right. I'm told by a mastercraft dealer that you can retrofit the new version BIG 7 inch touchscreen easily, its plug and play? They stock the part and are willing to sell you the new boat with this. Since its not from the factory, would the warranty follow this upgrade? Seems tricky with the ballast system, zero off etc thats all integrated with this?
Also, can this be done on a 2012 x25 that has the older (glitchier) touchscreen? Thanks in advance.

Just based off of what I have seen, this should be plug and play. In theory the system should recoginize what is on the boat when the wiring is plugged in. I got the pro package but did not get the surf tabs on mine.

For a Non-Pro package boat that is 2013 or newer, they now come with that little 4.3 inch screen to the right. Can you swap this out for the larger 7 inch touchscreen which is standard on a 2013+ pro package boat? Is it plug and play and does anyone know the cost of the part from Mastercraft? Anyone done this retrofit as yet with success?

From what I know there are a number of things, The ECM must be the correct version for the hardware. This may all be the same now, I can actually check as I sell to the company that makes the new systems for MC FW Murphy. I doubt it will truly be plug and play, as I am sure there are some software differences with the display etc... The Screen itself will probably be very expensive as they normally don't sell them one off.

I personally wish they still made these without screens, but what can you do.

Price is $3000 from the dealer. No idea if it is plug and play.

$3k to go from 4.3" to 7" screen? That's crazy.

Yes $3k is quite steep, makes you wonder what you would do if you broke it and were out of warranty.
So what exactly does the $10,900 Pro Package include for 2013 and 2014? Seems like you get the zft4 tower & attitude adjustment plate as a free upgrade in this package? What else?

Which ever way you go, do not get the boat without the attitude plate. This is the MUST have.
