09 X35 better surf

Hi Guys, Im a Marine tech in B.C. ,Canada. Im working on a customers 2009 X35, He wants a better surf wake. He has the centre wake plate and was asking about installing "surf plates" on each side. There really is not much room back there because of under water lighting, plus of course the swim grid mounts, exhaust etc.
Do you have any better ideas like ballast upgrades or is the side surf tabs the way to go on this boat?
if this is the case is there a part # so I can order. The local Mastercraft dealer is not much help...
Thanks in Advance

I'm sure water ballast will be your biggest help, might give wakemakers.com a call and see what they say. They offer awesome ballast upgrades that are very easy install.

Wouldnt waste time on the tabs. Would follow CLRs advice and hit up wakemakers.
