Going to dig into the boat this afternoon hopfully. Stern Light is not working and the Horn does not work. What are the steps to testing. I have a ohm meter thing that I can never get the correct setting on to test voltage. What should it be set at?

Set it for 20 volts. If you have an auto-ranging voltmeter you may not need to make adjustments. Picture of said meter will help.

With the stern light removed from the socket, turn the running lights on and connect probed to the two pins. If you show battery voltage, check your bulb. If no voltage check your fuse.

For testing horn, check your fuse first. Next disconnect horn connectors and insert voltmeter leads. Push horn button and look for battery voltage. If nothing, remove wires from switch and connect to each other. If battery voltage is present your switch is bad. Reconnect horn wires and test horn by connecting switch wires to confirm forn operation.

Thank you, it was in great shape but needed a really good cleaning.

Amazing the list of things to do to make it what you want.

Added swing away
added bimini top
added a radio 4 speakers amp and sub
redid the brakes
got new tires
added rollers to the prop guard.
Did some rewiring of the dash to get the voltage correct.

Next up is fixing the fuel sending unit. then...fingers crossed I will be done

Yea, but find a way. That was a GREAT addition to my boat. I found a used PP module and then bought the servo and gauge new. Mine is only RPM based for slalom so no need for the paddlewheel, etc. Worth considering!
