Looks 1000 times better than when I went and took a look at that boat.

I just wanted to add more info on my experience with Shawn from Redline Vinyl Graphics:

His price was very reasonable and his kit comes with 2 colors preassembled. When speaking to other vendors, the 2 colors come separate, so double the amount of work.

Also, I gave him the wrong reg numbers. It was off by one numerical character and he shipped me replacements free of charge.

Don't hesitate to give him a call!

Thermostat

The thermostat housing was leaking, so I took it all apart and found no gasket. Also, the temp gauge hovered around 130 during water test. I took the thermostat out and dunked it in hot water. I noticed that is started to open/close at the 120 mark. I ordered a new 142 and gasket. Same hot water test with new t-stat shows open/close as advertised. So hopefully the temp will go to normal now.
The gauge still read lower than normal with the new t-stat.

I found info on the web and 100 ohms should be about 170. I grounded the sending unit wire to ground through a 100 ohm resistor and confirmed gauge was reading lower than expected.

Installed a new gauge and temp was reading perfect. Less than an hour later the gauge kept creeping up to full hot and engine was not overheating. Found that the sender shorted out. Replaced that over weekend and FINALLY have a working temp gauge.

I also replaced the impeller as it became a bit chewed up.

What specs do you have around your reg numbers? They look good. Roscoe P. Coltrane (aka, the aquatic long arm or the law) told me I need to change mine so was curious about yours. Thanks
