Winterization - Antifreeze Question...please help!
Hi all,
I am getting ready to winterize my 2001 MC 210VRS. My question involves the Antifreeze. Currently we are talking about a 2001 210VRS. I have the LTR motor with Closed Cooling. I understand that the RV Antifreeze is not recommended for the Aluminum heads on my motor, and I would not be putting this into the motor as it already has Closed Cooling right now, with a mixture that is good for -25degrees (tested this last night). Can I use the RV Antifreeze for the raw water system? - OR - Because I have a Closed Cooling system, can I jsut drain and blow out the raw water system and leave it at that? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, KG |

I would think you just need to drain the fresh water system and that should be it. I doubt you need to mess with the closed system. What does the owner's manual say?

If you have an LTR you don't have aluminum heads. Is it the LT-1?
