Metal stripping inside of motor box

Anyone know where I can get a new piece of the metal stripping that wraps around the inside of the motor box?

I finished the new insulation last summer and all went well until a friend had lost his balance in the boat when we were unloading gear at the ramp parking lot...the motor box was up while the motor was cooling off...the motor box then closed forward and got caught on the impellar housing and damaged the metal stripping and insulation.

I probably can bend back for it to be functional but would rather just replace it all if possible.

It is really nothing special. Just aluminum flat strap that they have drilled. You could find it at a local metal supply house or even home depot (you would not be able to get a continuous length). Fire up the ole' drill press with a countersink bit and you'd be in business!

You can get 6' lengths from McMaster Carr, too.

Thanks Cam!

I may just replace what was damaged then and not mess with the entire stripping then.
