Starting issues

Hey guys, I am going to get this fixed by the dealer but I wanted to get thoughts from all of you. I have an 08 Xstar with a brand new motor in it. I mean it had 2 hours on it when I bought it. Now I get all geared up with my pup, gf, and 2 other buddies, get to the point in the river where I want to wakeboard and jump in. Buddy goes it wont start.... I go WHAT?!? so had to take all my gear off. Everything works perfectly fine but the engine just will not turn over. Check the safety switch ... its good... wiggle the throttle and hold the starter down... nothing. Temp gauge was up to 200 degrees... but even when we let it sit and it went down to 160 .... still nothing. No check engine light either. Any suggestions? Such a nice day and here I am getting towed in by a small outboard. Talk about embarrassing. Let me know thanks!
