Options to replace 2003 x2 tower racks?

Hello- My clamp style wakeboard racks on my 2003 x2 are now all but destroyed. What. Are my options for replacing them or getting new ones?

Thanks!

It depends on what your budget is, but you should be able to find a wide variety of racks on ebay. You also may be able to find someone on here looking to get rid of some that would fit.

Those 2003 racks are really hard to come by. I got rid of my 2003 racks a couple of years ago and upgraded to the newer 2004+ style clamping racks. I got tired of my surfboard not fitting in them. I found a set of the 2004+ racks for $400 or so on ebay. I sold my 2003 racks and pretty much broken even on the whole deal. Two of the holes in the tower to mount the racks line up with the newer racks. You will have to drill a hole for the screw and make a rectangular cutout for the handle to go through. Here are some pics

Right after I finished mine, a guy had a set of samson typhoon spinning racks for sale on here for $600. If those had been for sale before I bought mine, I probably would have gone that route. I don't think I could swing $1200+ for a set of those new.

I had some issues with my racks when I first bought my 2003 X2 a few years ago. I ended up being directed to call GereMarie directly. I sent in my racks and they replaced all of the broken/missing parts. I haven't had an issue with the racks since then.

i'D like some more info. too. 2 of my 4 racks are broke. For the surfboard, i just open the racks all the way out and use 2 bungee cords. It's rigged but works fine.

Too-tall is correct. GereMarie made the 2003 racks and some other parts for Mastercraft over the years. I checked my records and the number on their website is the same number I contacted in 2011. Here's a link - http://www.geremarie.com/contact_us.html

I hope it helps. It took me a while to chase this down when I had board rack issues.

This is an old post, but I have some updated info on the topic. I recently contacted Gere Marie about my 03 racks and they said to send it in for repairs. I will follow up with pics of the end result and price.
