America's Cup Winner Take All Race Today at 4:15 ET

I haven't been paying much attention, but the Oracle Team USA America's Cup team is poised to make the biggest comeback in sailing history (and probably one of the biggest in sports history). They were down 8-1, and have won 7 straight races to tie it up. The race should be shown on NBC Sports Network today around 4 eastern.

These boats are amazing to watch and it should be an awesome race. Go USA!

Yup. Should be good. I've been watching and it's turned into a nail biter! I'm not pulling for Oracle, but I have to say they have been sailing better and better every day. Strategy has gotten much better.

I have seen two races in their winning streak, and they kicked butt!

Fun to watch but have never seen a sport that takes the best of 17 to win.

A good Rock- Paper- Scissors Tournament.

I work in SF and it's sounds like it's going to be too windy to hold the race today but will see. Doesn't it make these guys sound like a bunch of P^$$ie$ that they can't have a sail boat race because it's too windy. I thought they were the best in the world they should be able to race in a 21knot wind.

What?! You're rooting for the country that brought us these guys?

Those boats can go like 40kts in barely any wind at all, so a 21kt wind might be unsafe for those boats. They are amazing.

These boats are pushing 60 mph.....much faster than my X2 will go..........

The forces on the sail (wing) and mast are extreme in high winds. There are not your grandpa's sail boats

I thought for sure Oracle was sunk early on and that I would have to endure years of taunting by my Keewee(nie) coworker. I am so glad they are making a comeback.

I remember when we first lost that race and the Aussies took our trophy! My mom was a HUGE Am Cup follower and she was shocked when we lost. The boats have certainly come a long way since those days. I enjoy seeing the ACs race but they are nothing like the true sailboats of old days. With strong winds those boats become very twitchy. The same thing happens in kiteboarding. On a normal wind day I can be flying a 12M or 14 meter kite and it can take 2-3 seconds to get out of control and crash. On a windy day I can be flying a 6 M kite and I have less than 1/2 second (literally) to react or the kite is in the water, and probably has a busted air bladder because of the force of impact. VERY fun in high wind conditions but **VERY** dangerous in high wind.
