2013 Illmor

Purchased a 2013 X30 with the 5.7 Illmor. Is there anything different for winterizing the Illmor motors? Ive done Indmar for years. Just want to make sure I dont miss anything. What oil works well?

Pull the spark plugs and spray it in the cylinders for 8 or 10 seconds. Put the plugs back in pull your kill switch cord and turn the motor over for a 10 seconds.

Who is your dealer and did you ask them about it?

I was considering doing mime myself. I always winterized my I/O myself, but the ilmor owners Manuel does not go into detail on which lines to pull. I do see a plug on each side of the block and I do remember the manifolds but are there other lines you need to pull to drain block? I have the 6.0

I have a 6.0 illmor as well. I have always winterized my X2 and its fairly easy but with my new X25 its different. Anyone out there got a step by step on doing a full winterization on a Illmor engine?

Traditionally you don't fog engines with CATS.

Is it because the oil will damage the O2 sensors or clog up or damage the CAT?

If you fog through the manifold I would think you'd put a lot more oil into the cats where as if you just put a couple of oz in the each cylinder it would end up being less going out the exhaust.
