Help...Soft Floor

Looking for anyone who has had a problem with their floor . I have a 2008 TT and the floor has become soft and feels like it has separated at the back of the boat behind the drivers seat. I am the 3rd owner and want to know if it is still covered under the Mastercraft Warranty. They claim the hull and floor has a five year warranty. If anyone has had this problem I would like to know what they covered.

Thanks for your time.

It is my understanding that the warranty covers the original owner. When the original owner sells the boat, the new owner must submit paperwork and a fee within 30 day (or some small amount of time) to transfer the warranty. If that was done, then you may be covered. Not sure if the warranty ends after the second owner, or if the process of paperwork and fees continue until the 5 yrs is up.

Contact your local dealer or MC directly to see if they will cover it even if that paperwork and fee was not completed.

I have a soft spot in the floor in the walk through of my PS205... Has anyone else had this and if so, how did you fix it?

I had a similar situation with my boat, only it was with the transom, not a soft floor. They are correct in that the original warranty does reside with the original owner, but it can be transferred to a second owner as stated. The warranty is somewhat limited for the second owner, however.

It sounds like you could have water intrusion and it may have delaminated some of the fiberglass. You will not be able to know for sure unless you pull the carpet.

Being that the carpet is 20 yrs old and I am not ready to replace it yet, i have not because I know once it comes up, it's not going back down. I was going to have the carpet professionally replaced this off season
