2014 Prostar

What's the skinny on the new 2014 Prostar's? Does anybody know when they will be on the market? Is it only by custom order at the beginning or will they hit the dealerships? What price range boat is it?

Inquiring minds want to KNOW!

I'm glad you love skiing enough to consider swapping! I would say get in line, they probably won't have order slots until Nov/Dec (they've got to push out all of the pro boats, TT/promo boats, etc.) I would talk to the closest MC dealer (Boats Unlimited in Raleigh, or Charlotte Ski Boats...they seem to be more into the MC game) or even call the Eller's to find out more.

No one's certain on price, but MSRP looks to start around $60-65k or so based on threads here and BoS, plus options.

If you don't want to take the new boat plunge and you enjoyed the 197, there should be a lot of them coming on the market as hardcore MC skiers replace their boats with the new hull. You could get one with a tower or mini-tower and still indulge your wakeboarding from time to time.

Thanks for the info guys. Unfortunately, I'll not be able to trade my present boat because I still have a bunch of wakeboarders, wake skaters, wake surfers. Looks like I'll be a 2 boat kinda gal! LOL I love what I've seen on the new Prostar with the improvements in design and glad to hear that they are priced much cheaper than I anticipated.

You can wakeboard behind a ski boat but you can't slalom ski behind a wakeboard boat.

i can guarantee if you sunk a prostar you still couldn't get the wave the x-15 puts out with ballast.

But there are so many heelside heroes out there running boat-swamping ballast that don't need it.
