Adding ballast to 16 x30

I have tried a search to try to find the answer here but cant seem to find it. I plan on adding the wakemakers 820 bags to my rear lockers. What other connectors do I need? I planned on just ordering the kit from wakemakers but they don't have kits listed for any years past 2011. I was thinking about ordering a kit for a 2011 x45/46. Would this work? TIA!

Worked AWESOME on my X10. X30's are identical in that perspective from what I understand.

Not sure of your engine/prop situation, but a change in prop might be a good idea too :-) I went to an OJ815 and with full ballast, surf settings and at surf speed I'm at about 3400rpm if I remember correctly. I'll have to double check next time I'm out.

BTW.. If you order the 2 bags and the fittings in the thread... you just need a pair of channel locks and 15 minutes to swap out the bags. Its a real easy swap out. :-) Glad I took Mooseheads advice!

The Channel locks are for nothing other than tightening down the fittings to the new bags.

Awesome, I knew I had seen it somewhere...thanks for the prop advice, that's on the list too. If I wanted to use my old locker bags, are there any other caps/connectors that I would need to get?

Another member picked up my bags, but I believe you could. I've heard the connectors are not screw in, so they are very difficult to remove and replace from the facctory bags. Some folks have, but I don't have any experience doing that myself.

^Most of the OEM bags have the fitments seated with adhesive and either need heat or elbow grease or both to remove, and they can break.

Meanwhile, the larger WM bags will need at least two more basic plugs per bag IIRC. These pieces are inexpensive and I did not use adhesive to seat them into the bags.

It is not worth your time trying to get the oem fittings out. Just buy new ones for sure

After doing the 750 swap I felt like it needed nose weight, so there's 400lbs of lead up there in ours. I'd recommend that as well
