I had the ZFT5P on my last 2 boats. To be honest, I had issues with both. Now I have the ZFT3 4 point tower and love it.
If I bought a new boat, it would definately be the ZFT4 for sure.

I have the power tower on my 2012 x45. I think it is the best looking tower in the MC line up and is very sturdy. It's wasn't a 10k option when we bought the boat but I would still be temped to get it on any new boat. I have never had any problems with the tower at all before and after the retro fit.
As far as the cans, I would go with wet sounds. The JLs in the can aren't that loud. So my dealer ordered the boat with a pair of speakers and swapped it won't for two pairs of wet sounds which are great. |

Ya its nice to have as an option, but the dealers never order them anymore, i hardly see any. it seems like if you want it that bad you need to get it ordered in.

I know MC added corner braces to the PW but I cant comment on how affective they are, but prior to the braces, I was always concerned about the side to side sway. The tower flexed a lot. Not sure if the movement had anything to do with it but last year one of my speakers broke off and fell while I was on the highway heading to the lake. I was surprised to find, that with braces, the tower doesn't move AT ALL. It is the ONLY tower, that I have ever had, that doesn't move, or make noise, on a rough lake. They really should have built it this way to begin with. |
