Need tips on waterproofing cover
I have an '03 X30 with a winch type tower cover. We just had a ton of rain and the cover leaks like mad both through the material (especially around the seams) and where the cover goes around the tower bar (I am using support posts under the cover which raises it up so there is not a good fit around the tower bars). Looking under the cover, it looks like most of the water is coming from there. No holes or tears! Thanks! Jeff

303 Fabric Guard (not the exact same thing as 303 Protectant). Roughly $12 per bottle (try overtons.com). Just spray it on, let it dry, and you should be good for another 3 years. Recommended for sunbrella.

In my experience, it took more than 1 application to really make it bead up in a heavy rain, but it works. You might spend the extra money for a big jug and put it in a deck spayer for a more even application.

That stuff Rocks Doug. I use it semi-annually on my cover.

Another vote for 303 Fabric Guard. I used 2 bottles on my X30 cover - man that thing is big. I just laid my cover over a section of my backyard fence and started spraying.
Good luck.

we up here use a common wood perservative. Brush on let it dry and it's done. My buddy has a 1990 mc with the original tarp that still doesn't leak and never has to use his bilge pump. The boat is stored outdoors all summer. Only 15 year old tarp around that's not falling apart!!

Ace is the place for 303.
