That is a sweet thread Jeff, exactly what I need. Thanks a bunch. Now I just need to find one for a 2002 xstar...found a beaut, will post some photos when I get it tomorrow am. 190 hours, upgraded ballast system so we can learn to wake surf easily, tower for storage, v-drive and open layout for the family, 205 hull for slalom skiing for me (a definite compromise, but from what I have read, an ok wake), mint condition and turn key, no friggin' engine issue...yet. Plus an upgraded stereo for my midlife crisis experience. Bought it from a dealer and getting it transported up here tomorrow.

That's awesome and congrats! Can't wait to see this new baby! Are you keeping the 205 or are you going to sell it eventually??

I plan to fix up the '94 over the winter and sell in the spring. My wife and I were just talking about how all this boat business is partly a midlife crisis, 46 years old and my youth is farther away than I would like. One boat for a midlife, ok, two...a bit over the top. What do you think a decent shape '94 205, exactly like yours except the engine (350 chev indmar) would sell for in the spring?

Going to have to disagree with the mid life crisis thing... water sports keeps you youthful lot's of folks boating and skiing/boarding way into their 80's - sooooo... and many of us can't afford an MC until we are a bit older..

-- regarding winterization here's the checklist.

http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...ead.php?t=5427 - post number 6.

Plus winterization discussions will pop up in mid to late september - many are in the What did you do to your master craft today...

Not boat specific but it should help.

When fogging the cylinders:

Wet intake spray through carb.

Dry intake spray through spark plug holes.
...and don t forget to hold on the little red straw so it doesn t get suck up in the intake!

I plan to do a video of mine this year, for no other reason that I can post it here immediately and get feedback on what I screwed up
