I solved that problem several years ago. My twins are seniors and oops, uh I mean my youngest is 6. I have many more years before I have to worry about loosing my boat buddy.

I grew up on a boat with my Dad. He had some old Bayliner... but if you asked me it was the best boat on the water. Best memories I have are with my Dad on the Colorado River, or just being on the boat with him. My Dad passed away 6 years ago this December.
My oldest daughter is 13 now. She has been on the boat with me since she was 7, my other daughter learned to wakeboard at 4. They are both with me 90% of time I go. My twins will turn one in a week. We will be on the lake this weekend. You just reminded me how much I appreciate my boat buddies. I think I will go tell them... naw... maybe I can get them to wax the boat for me. )
The best boat buddies are made, not found.

We made it back home. Already miss her. Something very different about your baby going off to college. I will be on the lake tomorrow night but it will be different. Lubbock is 5 1/2 hours west so it's not like she can come home at the drop of a hat.
My dad is 86 years old and still gets around great as does my mom at 80. I know my kids will have the same great relationship with me and my wife as we do with my folks. That is not by chance but by design through effort. Those of you that have young kids, I can tell you that it seems like yesterday that my youngest was in 5th grade. Blink and they are going off to college. Squeeze every second out of those years as you can.

I love hagging out with my kids. College football season is upon us, so my boat buddies will be doing duble time and grab me a cold one (as long as their mom is not around)!
Not to thead jack but the one thing my kids know is that when they go to college they can go to any one that they want... as long as its OKLAHOMA!!! or at least not saxet. BOOMER SOONER!!!

I replaced it with a bow roller and never looked back.

Oh, the kids. Ours are still young. Enjoy every moment with them. Texas Tech has a ski team. Hopefully, she tries out, makes it, and will come back at breaks and be even more ready to hit the water than ever.

To me, this forum is about love of inboard boats. It is about the sharing of information and, on a good day, some humor. It is not about post count, brand of boat, or any other superfluous labels that lend themselves to a false sense of superiority. Please, respect one another, try to pass on accurate information, and keep your eye on the ball.
