^^^^ Agree with all above.
I paid $14k for my 94' 205 with LT1 and 200 hrs about 3 years ago. $19k is too high, especially if it needs work. For $19k I would expect it to be in amazing shape, interior great and perfect pass already installed. $12-$15k is more like it. I will say though.....awesome boat! ![]()

So, are you speaking about $19k in Canada or US? Do you like the 95 over the 94 you currently have? The only difference would be the engine (as well as color and condition).

19K USD. Ya, I realize it is the same boat. I would just like to get into one that is in better shape that already comes with a tower. No other reason. I plan to fix up the '94 I have and sell it in the spring, in the meantime I am looking for a mint 93-95 PS205...not too particular about the LT1 or Gm350

You may actually only be looking for 94-95 era boats. The 93 had the carb ford engine whereas the 94-95 are fuel injection. That was the same years I was looking for too. Although rare, 93 did offer the LT1 but hard to find.....usually carb engines. Just FYI.

$19k it should be absolutely perfect and the price would still be slightly high.
Keep looking.

When I find a car or a boat that I like, I tell the owner that it's not exactly what I want, BUT it's still very nice AND I also say that it's out of my price range (and of course I'm NOT in a hurry to buy), then I give him a price that matches my research, or lower (not low ball), and say "I know you could get more, but I don't have it, but in case you really need to sell her, here's my number, give me a call, I can have cash in a day or two."
It has worked. I got my 1998 MC in good shape for $6500. e.g., in this case I'd say perhaps 14 K.... |
