04 xstar alternator died

Been working my alternator too hard and she died. Anyone know the part number or where to get an upgraded unit as well? Gonna start relying on a big shore charger in the future to top of these 4 group 31's. I took it to a shop and they said its a 70amp delco unit off of my 6.0 liter caddy motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

The $5 question- will it fit? Also, what does it need for a charging lead?

Can you post pictures of your battery setup? My buddy has an 04 XStar and we just re did his stereo and are currently running 3 group 29 (basically same as a 31) EverstartMaxx batteries and thinking of adding a 4th. They are isolated from alternator though and just charge individually at night

I don't have any pics but its a two bank setup with one group31 on bank 1 and 3 group 31's in parallel on bank 2. Both banks are connected by the grounds but I'm thinking about pulling the alt charge lead for the second bank since its too much work for the alternator to try and bring these guys back from a 50%/12.0v status after playing while rested. Planning on a good shore charger to keep bank two topped off after a long day of music.

I don't know exactly how it bit the dust, take it in to a shop and have it rebuilt. If you want a bit bigger one they can usually up the specs inside. I am spoiled and have a great local shop that does great work. Simple as can be in usually a day. Saved me $$ in the process

I asked and they can either replace for 200 or get me a 105amp for about 300.
