I heard that they made the PS 197 out of parts left over from the X 46...

Exactly. If you are a surfer you have given up and this boat is not for you.

It should surf exactly like all the other DD ski comp boats - you need more weight than you'd like to have, and you need ballast in the back and the bow, and it will have a wave - not a great wave. But a wave.

A V drive version of this boat at 20 feet with a tower and plumbed ballast in the 70-75k range would be on my radar in the future.

They already make it. Sport Nautique 200V.

Hahahaha

In all seriousness tho how heavy do you think that bow portion will be. My floor section weighs a ton. With it being two sections like that I can see water getting through there....Overall I like the looks an the graphics. Just don't get the pickle.

I wonder if the 'petite-pickle fork' might both help break up the flow of water headed over the bow, add a touch of bouyancy and help prevent bow dunkings. Or...maybe the designer thought it looked cool..who knows. I think it's a hot looking boat from all angles I've seen

Umm, given up what? Did MC give up with the release of the X46 then?
