If you order a boat it will have the new system if you want it. I asked about retro fitting and they said technically no, but is possible, but was unsure if it was gonna be allowed? I don't have the exact specifics of how it will work outside of what I described but I can confirm it's done.
Cool, what a funny happenstance to sit near them. But the issue remains, MC needs to either break out this news on their own or keep it hush. Dribbling and spitting out details is an insult to all their customers.

Agreed. They said everything would be released after the expo. They acted like it was already common knowledge. So a little confusing.

Everyone gets told not to say anything and then everyone passes on what the feel is a small bit of info under the pressure of the questioning or keeping their dealers happy. Then those tidbits of info land here and info starts to compile.

They will announce it on their schedule and that will be that, the 8 guys pissed off in this thread do not outweigh the remainder of the boat buying market, in fact most of you won't buy a new boat with it regardless of anything..

Moral of my story, chill for bout 2 weeks and enjoy Christmas. I can't figure out how no one can respect the process, it's winter and your boats are winterized

That said, with my custom fly high bags installed and the possibility of new tabs being installed on my boat I'm excited to ride even if there is snow on the ground

There's already a bunch of '14s on the lots. If the new tabs can't be put on those at the very least, dealers are gonna have a hard time moving them.

I am very close with 2 different dealers and one factory rep, so I've probably heard as much as anyone. I just refrain from posting what I've heard, out of respect. The process sucks, and I do respect it, or else I'd have posted what I know. I think it is a poor way to unveil a new feature. And I've bought 2 new boats in the past 6 years and am very likely to purchase a third one. But I could care less about the surf tabs because it will be a Prostar. And Scott came very close to upgrading last year. You couldn't be further off with your analysis.

So you referenced 1 guy that may buy a boat and tell me I'm way off base? After telling me I was dead on because you've heard tidbits from 3 different sources and they all asked you not to post anything. So basically you are pissed that the 3 folks your very close to gave you any inside info?

I referenced 2. Scott and myself. But really what does that matter?

I am not pissed off about anything. I'm fortunate that I have 3 guys who will fill me in on what is in the pipeline.

I think the process is lousy for those who do not have any 'inside' info.

How will it go over with you if the tabs are not retrofittable? Would you still be happy with the process or will you have wished you knew so you could wait on that 46 to get the new surf system?
