Need help with new waterski

Hello I am looking for a new water ski. I'm only 19 years old and I've grown up on a 1980s slalom ski. I love it and I can make great cuts on it. Unfortunately, this year it's been coming apart. I heard from a friend you can get a new ski modeled after a 1980s ski, he has one and it feels very similar to my Skimaster ( his is Connelly ). I was wondering where I can find one of these, I tried to use a newer ski and I just couldn't adapt to it.
Thanks!

Never heard of this. Sounds like an expensive way to buy old technology. Skis have come a long way. They are faster, more stable, and more forgiving. If you tried one and didn't like it, try a different one. Ideally, find a pro shop that has a demo program.
