2006 Mastercraft X1 re doing interior

Well my new MC skins lasted about 1.5yrs and im afraid they need to be replaced. I dont think I want to use the MC skins from that year anymore because they just dont seem to last.

Ive been looking and i seems like marine grade vinyl is now offered by a few manufactures in the "carbon" weave?

Nautolex seems to be a brand that comes up a bunch?

Any other suggestions? Im going to swing by the local vinyl shop and see.

Also if anyone know a place near orlando that would be great...

I don't know of anyone near Orlando, but you could crate the interior and send it to Viper Customs in TN.

+1 for viper customs! Shipped them the skins for my 2001xstar. I couldn't be happier with the work they did.

Well as bad a bleach is, i have to say this combination just worked wonders.

I used a 5/2 water / bleach ratio in a spray bottle and only applied it to the infected areas. Used a leather conditioner brush to aggitate it then wiped it off. I used an APC citrus based cleaner to then remove what was left over. Conditioned the leather wit ha vinyl / leather conditioner cream, and will then apply 303 to it.

I know bleach will harm my vinyl but I think I can get at least another season out of these skins if i continue to condition them.

I need to get a new cover made. The cover I have from custom ski boats kinda sucks.

The bleach will clean the vinyl but it will destroy the stitching. By the looks of the vinyl you should be able to make it to cooler weather before tackling this project.

I tried to avoid touching the stitching as much as possible. The main damaged areas were on the large vinyl only areas. I also was sure to wipe it clean immediately. Hopefully it holds up!

Good work by Karl but Jim is not very reliable on his commitments of timeliness or keeping promises. He still is promising me a service he can't deliver on (how hard can a carpet overlay be?), as simple as it is. Viper does not get my vote of confidence nor recommendation.

Jim Friant (also in TN) is another source for vinyl, same good quality...
