In 2 months iv had 1 interested party. And i have been out every weekend plus more, lots of family time and im not in a position to buy a brand new boat, so id have issues buying something like mine for 10k or wait 2 years without a boat

Good for you. Enjoy the family while you can. The tire-kickers can wait...

His offer included driving my boat over an hour each way to a shop nowhere close to me before he even looked at the boat. ; so i spend a day driving spending gas money and time to a shop to have him come look at it and not be up to his standards, he was a very polite guy nothing agaisnt him, but iv wasted enough time for a maybe , when i dont need to sell it

Actually, my offer included paying for a professional to check it out -- the scenario you described (and that I suggested) was just one potential scenario of how to get it checked out. For example, I could drive the boat to get checked out so you wouldn't have to do the drive (three hours each way for me) -- there are a number of ways that we could arrange this so that you would be comfortable with it and not have any risk. Regardless, if I am paying $250 for a pro to go through the boat, I'm not just doing that on a whim and am certainly going to buy it unless the mechanic finds something very significant. I just don't have the knowledge to confidently buy a used boat without a pro going over it on my behalf, and I'd rather spend $250 on a pro than make a $10K mistake.

For those of you suggesting the offer was suspicious, my impression is that it was just separation anxiety, which most people with a beautiful Mastercraft can probably understand.

Nevertheless, I'm still in the market for a Prostar 190, preferably a 93 with the LT1 or any 190 in the 94-97 years (I want EFI). I'm less concerned about the condition of the interior as long as the hull is in very good shape. Thanks.

That's why I want a clean boat -- that's also how I take care of boats. I grew up skiing and now that my kids are old enough I want them to appreciate water sports and caring for the equipment along with the fantastic family time that boating brings.
