Good Bluetooth/iPod Head Unit

Hi all,

I'm going to be replacing my current head unit with one that can pull files from an iPhone/Pod and I'm wondering about just getting a Bluetooth compatible unit so I can tether to whatever people happen to bring on board. The current system is a Clarion with a remote at the driver's seat ('01 X-Star). I'd like to have the ability to control the track/playlist from the remote, with the understanding that I may need a new remote.

Any opinions on what to look into?

I just upgraded to the Clarion M502. Works great and have full functionality from remotes to control iPod and Pandora.

I purchased the new clarion M303 and MW2 wired remote this spring. Have been very happy so far with the unit and Bluetooth and pandora control. I looked at the m502 for a while but decided against the single control knob

x2 on the M502. I just put it in my boat and it's really good with the iPhones, and decent with the Droids. I have read reviews where a lot of people complain about the single control knob. It can be challenging to go thru menus with it, but once everything is set up, I like the single control knob better for toggling thru a playlist as any knucklehead left in the boat can figure it out. I have no experience with the remote however.

I have a 02 x-star and my head unit just went out. I've decided to go with the M303 and add the 6 to 8 pin adapter so that I can used the wired remotes that are currently in the boat.
Being on the water is best, but when I'm not on the water I'm on TT.
