OK MC, Throw us a Bone here.

Any info on the 2014 ProStar Line????

I want to buy either a 197 or a 214....but hearing lots of "rumors" about the 2014 lineup. I need to make a decision and would like to know something???? even if its just a date? I cant go out buy anything until I know what 2014 brings or doesn't bring.

Please just through us bone.

We are in a similar boat (*drumroll*) about if and when this z series exists. We don't have that long of a prime market time left here and are trying to make decisions that will effect our early spring next year. I don't understand the big secrets here. At some point it just becomes stupid. Atleast there are teasers on everyone elses boats. If they aren't going to exist then just say so.

Agreed.
Summer is slipping away.
I feel like I may just have to wait until next year to buy a boat.

No real upside for MC to keep us in the dark.

Sold my boat and have cash in hand. It's mid July. I guess MC doesn't want my money.

Marketing (or not marketing) at it's best.

I would imagine that promo boat prices on '12 197s will be great when these new boats are released. You can probably get a screaming deal on a great boat. I know nothing beats buying new, but these boats are usually well cared for, just broken in hours wise, and come with the most desirable options (because the promo guys know they have to sell them every year). It also supports the local ski scenes by keeping the promo programs alive and letting us ski on MCs at local tournaments

Just a theory: Is one reason there isn't much official news is to help protect the current promo boats and their owners? If the 2014 is indeed a new hull (which is highly suspected but not official), and they disclose this to the public, what would that do to the 125 2013 promo boat market? 125 boats isn't much, certainly...but the owners of these boats are some of the biggest supporters of the brand so one would hope there is some decision making to take care of some of the best marketers of the brand. Keep in mind promo boats are usually purchased boats, and the property of each individual. They are not loaners or dealer demo boats.

As a buyer, I would love to see the new design as well. But from a business perspective, I would want to clear as much inventory from 2013 as possible before releasing the 2014. Granted, most 197s are made to order now, but there is roughly $6 million in Team boat inventory about to hit the market that could be tough to sell if the 2014 is released too early...assuming there is something new to release.

Just a thought...or there is no new model, or it's not ready, or it's a bare bones $35,000 3-event boat, or it's a $100,000 3-event boat, or it's all kept quiet just to create buzz! Funny thing...there's quite a bit of buzz considering nothing official is coming from the Company itself.
