2008 Mastercraft X1?

What should be the price be for this boat? I have seen prices from 28K to 47K for a 06-08 X1. I have seen the same boat posted 2 years ago for a cheaper price.

$43,500 is a bit high, but not too far out of the ball-park for a 5 year old boat with only 115 hrs. In 2010, a friend of mine bought a 5 year old '05 X2 (same hull as '08 X1) with ~250hrs for $37k.

I'm biased, because I own a 2007 X1, but I have been following the market here, along with used sports cars, specifically Lotus Elise/Exiges. Disposable income items seems to have rebounded in price. I would agree $43.5k maybe slightly high, but I would challenge you to find many other 2008 X1's for less than $40k.

In both cases, the market really seemed to hit its low in 2010 and 2011. Prices are higher now in 2013 than they were then, in 2010. So referencing a friend buying in 2010, maybe true then, but not true now. In my Lotus example, you could pick up 2005 Elises for 24-25k. The same car is selling for $30-35k now, with more miles. You could pick up an 07 Exige for $35K, now they're going for $45k.

I'm happy I bought my X1, kicking myself for never buying that Lotus!

It just seems there are a limited number of X1s available. Most of the X1 priced over 40K seem to sit on the market. Most people would just buy an X2 if they are going to spend over 40K.

If you are happy you bought your X1...why are you selling it!! LOL

Can anyone post what they paid for their X1 and when? Year and options would also be helpful.

I found my 07 X1 at the end of 2010 and purchased in Jan. 2011 for $30K. This was a great time to buy a boat. Had 87 hours, teak platform, 2 speakers on towers, non-swivel racks, single axle trailer, MC cruise,RTP, factory ballast, snap-on MC boat cover.

We are super happy we bought our X1. It's the perfect boat for us. We can do everything we want, Wakeboard, ski, tube and lots of surfing. We had a direct drive before the X1, so we now we have tons more storage. Up to about 250 hrs on it now.

Upgrades I've done: replace ballast tanks with 750 Fly-hi sacs, put a 48" long side sac under each front seat in the bow, installed CMD6 and transom remote, Clamping swivel board racks, tower mirror, and 4 MC pop-up cleats.

Thanks for sharing the details of your purchase. I just missed out on getting a 2008 this week by a day. It crazy how someone goes from 40K on craigslist to giving it to the dealer for 32K.

If you would like for me to test drive the 2006 I posted, let me know. I know you are not crazy about the color but it is a nice boat.
