07 Mastercraft X-2 will not start

Last week got out on the lake and my x-2 would not re-start. Had to be towed in. It appeared to be the fuel pump so I replaced the fuel pump and not the complete assembly. Started up with no problem. Filled the tank with gas and put it back in the water. This weekend went back out, started up, went wakeboarding. Changed the ballasts for wake surfing and the boat would not start. I am getting fuel pressure by checking the shrader valve. Getting spark at the spark plugs by removing it and check for spark while cranking. Still will not start.

Any ideas?

I had a small scare at the first of the season - the safety lanyard was clipped on as designed, engine would crank - NO start. Pulled the lanyard off and held the switch with my finger and the engine fired. The plastic clip seems to stretch.
