Tower Speaker Lights

My 07 X2 came with two tower speakers w/0 lights. I purchased two more with lights from a member here. when I added the speakers to the removable pods on the tower there were already wires for the lights. the large plate where the ballast switches are I removed yesterday and didn't see the wires for the lights. does anyone know if they are in the large wire loom that is under there.

thanks!!!

I did the same thing, the wire leads drop down from the tower foot behind the dash. MC has a smaller pigtail light accy harness I had to buy that connects to the wires from the tower harness to a flip switch and small push to reset breaker that go in the side panel you removed and then a power and ground wire that go to the power and buss bars. I found the harness on eBay for $20.

I am a new boat owner and need a little help trying to install a pair of factory tower speakers with lights on my 2008 x1. I purchased a pair of speakers with lights from a TT member, since the PO did not have any tower speakers or lights on the boat. I am not very savy with electrical but would like to learn. The boat has 2 unused ACC switches that I believe I can used for the lights.

So far, I have identified all the factory tower wiring for the lights on both ends of the tower (Blue and white & black wires). My only question is how to hook up the lights to a switch and a power source. Can I just use one of the existing unused ACC prewired switches? ACC 1 has 3 wires (1 black ground; 2 orange). One is labeled "A" and the other is labeled "Heater". I assume I can just use this switch. Do I need to run the lights through a relay or can I just hook up the lights directly to the "heater" breaker and switch since the are unused? Or should I just order the light switch with a wiring harness from greatlakes. Any advice would be appreciated.

Greg

You could use the installed switches as well.
You just have to lead a wire from your tower foot front right from the blue/withe wire to the switch and lead the black from the tower foot to any mass point which you will find behind the carpeted cover under your stearing in front of your feets.
